   It is gonna be tough, but I say they have to still be considered the favorites. If Miami hadn’t gone and done what they did this offseason I would almost say we are a lock to repeat, but it is gonna be tough. It all depends on us staying healthy and how well Miami comes together as a team.

   yes they will..the lakers don’t need a very big change in their team since the starting five is the most deadly in the league. their just picking these players for insurance in case of an injury and to guard miami 2 1/2 all-stars [chris bosh i give half]

   Your question is flawed. Miami will not get to the finals this year. They are spectacular offensively, (obviously) but they lack in defense and quality bigs. No offense, but the media are the ones crowning Miami the champions. Most players/coaches rank Orlando and Boston above Miami.

   reason that Lakers advantage over heat is:
   1. Experience, Lakers has played together for at least a year. Heats none.
   2. Post, there are no one that can stop Bynum and Gasol, Bosh is a good player
   but not a inside player, more of mid range and cutter instead of establish deep
   post position. Big Z is above average but still not good as Bynum (long as Bynum
   is healthy)
   3. Rebound, I dont see Heats can out rebound the lakers with their current roster.
   Lakers shot 32% (I remembered) during game 7 in the final but still won is due
   to their overwhelming rebounds and 2nd chances.
   4. Bench rotation. lets say Heats did make it to the final, that is at least 90 games
   (sweep all 2 rounds of playoff) the 3 superstars should be worn out and beaten.
   Laker’s Bench (this year) is one of the best I seen in many years. their bench player
   is able to be starter for lower ranking teams, which means all starter is able to
   rest 10-15 min per game.
   5. Coaching: Phil is the best coaching in all sports history. Erik is fairly new, I don’t
   know he is able or earn the respect of the superstar, especially Lebron. and able
   to keep the team together.
   6. Lebron’s Ego, He set his goal to get a ring this year, but Lebron is a very short
   attention spam and getting used to having all the attention, will this have effect if
   Wade out shine him, if he choose to run up the stats will Wade accept that slowly
   his is losing as the leader of the team. I think Heats is Wade’s team.
   Match up:
   Fisher / Miller – both average, but Fisher build his career by hitting big shots and
   his leadership, which miller is missing.
   Kobe / Wade – Kobe guarded Wade one on one before sucessfully. Wade have
   a slight problem with Kobes attack,
   Lebron / Artest – I don’t think Artest is able to shot down Lebron completely, but will
   able to slow him down. and with Barens on the bench Lebron will have a hard time
   getting the shots he wants. chances are he will, but he will be worn out by late in the
   game.
   Gasol / Bosh – both are good players, but Gasol is stronger, better play maker
   and have better foot work. but Bosh have the quickness and a mid range jumper
   a bit better then Gasol.
   Bynum / Big Z – I give this Bynum, Bynum was able to compete with Shaq when
   shaq was in Miami, able to compete with D. Howard one on one. Big Z never prove
   him self to do the same. so I would give more credit o Bynum. long as Bynum is
   healthy.
   over all, I would think Lakers would take a 7 game series over the Heats. and I
   also predict that heats is not going to make it to the finals as Celtics and Magic
   (possibly the bulls) are the better, more balanced team then the “CURRENT”
   heats.
