Where Is The Most Bicycle Friendly Town/city In The Uk?

Is cycling in your town a dream or a nightmare? Should we make our roads more bicycle friendly? Amsterdam has physically segregated cycle lanes, with traffic lights favouring bicycles. Should we do that here? Could we have financial incentives like VAT free bicycles?

Places like Bristol, Exeter, Oxford and Cambridge have been seen as bike friendly for many years. More so than other cities, and in part due to high student levels, a broad section of working class communities and heavy traffic congestion.
Two years ago several cities (including the above) were awarded several million sterling to invest and improve the cycle infrastructure from Cycling England. Simple things like cycle stands to park, advice for routes etc.
..so based on that I’d say its a tie up between the four above.

Dunno – none in NI – some pathetic attempts at bicycle lanes….which peter out…. leaving you to wonder at the ultimate intention??
