Does the Pope of Rome have it?
Can I find photo copies of it on the net?
How do we know that some sinful person didn’t slip in some text of his one in the 12th Century?
When a company publishes a new version, do they ask for the Pope’s permission?
Who is collecting the royalteis?

Bart Ehrman points out that there are more textual variants in the New Testament manuscripts than there are words in the New Testament. Of course almost all or these are trivial and have an obvious correct reading, but almost all isn’t all, and some of the variants are significant and admit of divergent readings.
And then there are obvious insertions like the Comma Johanneum, (I John 5:7b-8a), the Story of the woman caught in adultery, and the variant endings of the Gospel According to Mark.
And that’s just talking about the New Testament.

There are many versions of the texts. Many permutations of which texts are or are not holy. A lot was cut out in 410 A.D.
It’s in the National Library of Alexandria. (In the fiction section)
Very few widely published documents have a single master copy. The bible does not draw people to depend on its every comma or full stop or word. The Greek had no punctuation anyway!
The Koran claims to be perfect and complete.
Christians do not make this claim for the Bible. The saviour Jesus Christ whom the Bible directs you (and me) to is a perfect and complete saviour according to the text. I can see why you ask this question and it is a fair one. The Church believes in a perfect saviour and not a perfect revelation through a perfect translation of the Bible.
It is written in our inward parts when the G-D of heaven and earth *make us, to Know.
Psalm 51:6 Behold, Thou desirest Truth in the “inward parts”: and in the “hidden part” Thou shall *make me to “know” Wisdom.
Job 33:4 The Spirit of G-D *made me (one breath, flesh, sin, death, earth) but the *breath of the Almighty gives me *life. (second breath, a child is labored in the earth putting sin out and like Jacob in Gen.28:20-21 has gone up to the mountain on high Isaiah 2:1,2,3,4 read. Having one breath read Ecc. 3:18-19. and having the eternal kiss of the Almighty G-D read Gen. 27:27 and see the birth and the declare decree of David being brought forth as a son of G-D read Psalm 2:7, and see his son Solomon ’s birth in Solomon’s Song 3:4. And see David crying out for his birth to come in Psalm 101:2. And see how he labored in the earth in Psalm 101.
And now look and see, those that Ezekiel 13:20,21,22,23 were taken in by those who hunt the souls of G-D that want to serve Him. The Kerchiefs are the same Watchers that had Solomon in verse 3 of chapter 3 of Solomon’s Song. So in Jeremiah 31:33 G-D will take them form the hands of the fallen of heaven like it is also written in the book of Enoch and wirte the law on their inward parts and hearts and they shall be His people.
We are seeded in the lie and deceit of many religions that have been controlled by the Watchman and the Kerchiefs that war on G-D keeping us from re-turning and seeing G-D and hearing his voice in the “hidden part” our Dwelling Place, the House of Jacob. As it is written in Isaiah 2:1,2,3,4, This is our hope, this is the return of the Tabernacle of David, we are the vessel with the law written in our inward parts, we are the tent covered with skin. The kingdom of G-D is within us, we need to turn in. The house of G-D that flesh nor sin can come in. One must have been given the breath from the Almighty G-D of heaven and earth. Job 33:4 Psalm 2:7 and Solomon’s Song 3:4 and note when the Watchman had him verse 3.
There is no “Master Copy.” None of the original manuscripts, which would be known as the Autograph copies, exist. There are no copyrights or royalties on ancient manuscripts, no one asks the Pope’s permission. Some NEW translations are copyrighted.
Just how much value does God put on the originals?
To get the answer we must explore several chapters in the book of Jeremiah beginning with the famous passage in chapter 36 concerning the roll that Jeremiah had written.
In verse 21 the roll is brought before King Jehoiakim and read by his servant Jehudi.
According to verse 23 Jehudi read three or four leaves and King Jehoiakim cut it up with a penknife and cast it into the fire on the hearth until it was destroyed.
Thus ends ORIGINAL #1 !
Then the Lord moved Jeremiah to rewrite the roll adding some words to it. (Jeremiah 36:32)
Thus ORIGINAL #2 is born.
We are shown the text of this second original in Jeremiah 45-51 where it is reproduced for our benefit.
Jeremiah told Seraiah to read this roll when he came into Babylon. (Jeremiah 51:59-61) Then Jeremiah instructed Seraiah, after he finished reading the roll, to bind a stone to it and cast it into the Euphrates River (Jeremiah 51:63)!
Thus ends ORIGINAL #2!
But wait! We have a copy of the text of the roll in chapters 45-51. Where did it come from? It came from a copy of original #2 which we can only call ORIGINAL #3!
So there are two very big problems for those who overemphasize the “originals”.
(1) Every Bible ever printed with a copy of Jeremiah in it has a text in chapters 45-51 which is translated from a copy of the “second” original, or ORIGINAL #3.
(2) Secondly, NO ONE can overlook the fact that God didn’t have the least bit of interest in preserving the “original” once it had been copied and its message delivered. So WHY should we put more of an emphasis on the originals than God does? An emphasis which is plainly unscriptural.
Thus, since we have the text of the “originals” preserved in the King James Bible we have no need of the originals, even if they were available.
God promised to PRESERVE his Word, both in the OT in Psalm12:6-7 and in the NT in Matthew 24:35, and he HAS DONE that…
BTW, IF YOU’RE INTERESTED…Here is the OLDEST KNOWN complete New Testament:http://www.codex-sinaiticus.net/en/
And yes, the Vatican has another early manuscript of the entire Bible in Greek, you can download it in pdf form for free, but it’s rather useless if you can’t read Greek: http://www.archive.org/details/CodexVati…
And here is Oldest known Old Testament:http://www.centuryone.com/0063-2.html
These OLD copies agree 99%+ with KJV that can be purchased at most local bookstores, thus providing proof that God HAS preserved his word, as promised.

Where is the ‘master’ copy of the Bible kept?
There is no master copy. The Oldest manuscript is the Codex Sinaiticus. I’m not exactly sure where it’s kept.
Does the Pope of Rome have it?
I do know the Vatican doesn’t have the Codex Sinaiticus. They do have the Codex Vaticanus, the second oldest manuscript.
Can I find photo copies of it on the net?
Sure.http://codexsinaiticus.org/en/
How do we know that some sinful person didn’t slip in some text of his one in the 12th Century?
It’s older than that.
When a company publishes a new version, do they ask for the Pope’s permission?
Nope.
Unfortunately, few if any of the original texts have survived.

The Dead Sea Scroll contain:
- All of the books of the Old Testament (Hebrew scriptures) except Esther
- Several books that never became part of the Hebrew Scriptures
- Numerous commentaries on the Scriptures
- Books having to do with
…..- Community life
…..- Rules for living
…..- Temple worship
…..- Other matters
There are many duplicates. Fourteen copies of Deuteronomy have been found and two of Isaiah.
The scrolls are important because they:
- Testify to the accuracy of the people who copied and recopied the Scriptures over the centuries. Despite minor errors, they show us that the Old Testament has not changed since it was compiled.
- Throw light on beliefs and customs in Palestine during times between the Old and New Testaments. There was far more diversity among the Jews than had been thought.

We have second and third century manuscripts of all the New Testament writings to which we can check our modern Bibles. Many believe that some of the bits of manuscripts are from the first century (between 50 and 100 C.E.).
