I’m going to college (“University”) in London towards the end of next month, and I really don’t want to buy the laptop when I get there, cause I’ll be moving and adjusting and all that good stuff. And the laptop is the final thing I need. I was gonna get another mac but now I don’t think so. Where can I buy a UK laptop? will they be able to ship it to the U.S.?
I would have just used the one I have now, but they say it’s not a good idea even with a converter, because it can cause a fire =/

Who told you that it’s not a good idea with a converter? That’s garbage. The computer power adapter should be 120-240V autoswitching, which means the ONLY thing you need to change would be the plug. Heck, you don’t even need a converter or a different power adapter, just the cable that goes from the plug to the power adapter.
