Long Distance Relationship…?

By admin Posted in: London

i met a guy online and we occasionally write i love you, and when i say this i really mean it but i’m worried he’s just saying it because he feels he has to? he lives 300 miles away and its £45 for a train ticket to see each other,we haven’t met yet, he told me he was going to come and see me since april but recently he looked tickets up and realised he had to go into london and then out again to get to me, which he didn’t like the sound of, so i’m going to see him now. we’ve been speaking for almost 6 months and we’ve been on webcams and had phone conversations but i’m really nervous about meeting him, is it going to be awkward?i really love this guy and i don’t want to screw it up,btw i’m 14 he’s 15..PLEASE HELP!

well i have met someone online before, but they lived reasonbly near to me, and i was very nervous as well, but i made my friends spy on me to make sure that the person i was meeting wasn’t a perv or anything, and it was all fine and i actually became involved in a relationship with this person, However, your situation is slightly different, as i’m guessing none of your friends actually know this person, so you really have no clue who this is. this person could be lying about their age, name they could be anyone so you have to be aware of this. You should consider bringing someone with you, or a group of friends just in case. However, if he seems nice, then the conversation when you are with him should flow, just be careful and make sure that he actually does turn up. Good luck :)

Long distance relationships CAN and DO work. my sis and now husband, were in a long distance relationships. About 400 miles apart. They met by chance and were in a long distance relationship for about 18 months. 2 and half years later and they are happily married!
If you stay in touch as you get older it will become easier to see each other. (driving etc.)
    Hope it works out well.

Sarah, at your young age, I would Definently meet in a public place!!! Your parents probably will feel that meeting a guy online and wanting to meet him is CRAZY!!! One of your parents may wanna go with you the 1st time you meet him. If so, it is only because they truly Love You and want you to be safe :) If I had a 14 year old daughter, I would want to go along for the 1st meeting!! You just gotta really be careful these days!!! If a parent wants to go along, THE GUY SHOULD NOT OBJECT, HE SHOULD RESPECT THAT!!! PLEASE BE CAREFUL!!!
