I recommend to buy a travel guide or check the online version of one for example lonely planet.
You get this and a lot more information there

I would strongly recommend getting a guided cycling or walking tour to really see the sights. I would also recommend going around a area names Alexandrplatz, its very beautiful and has several large shopping complexes. If you have not already found a place to stay and are on a budget than there is beautiful old building that serves as a hotel, Pension Peters in Savignyplatz. Its very close to the city center and seams to be a very quiet area with a lovely Italian restaurant across the street. I loved the TV tower which dominates the berlin skyline. It is a very tall revolving cafe/restaurant but if you want to go to the restaurant book in advance. Berlin is a real cultural hotspot and you should travel around the city on the rail network(S-bahn and U-bahn) to see the different areas, especially in the east of the city. If you have kids or are a kid the berlin zoo and aquarium are great and you should also see the concentration camp just outside the city, Sachsenhausen. Their is so much more things to do in Berlin that on a holiday you will never have enough time to do everything, but it is truly a great destination for any traveller. Hope I have been helpful in any way. Enjoy Berlin,VIEL GLUECK. Good luck.
