i am going to be asking my local politicians at the students in government day tomorrow:
“with the current rise in hate crime rates around the county, what legislation has been passed to deal with these brutal acts against human liberty? ”
modify this question however you wish.
or just give me a new one. (must be a serious question)
i live in the county of nassau, long island.

Hate Crime is actually Thought Crime.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thoughtcrim…
Murder is already illegal.
Saying that one type of murder is worse than another type of murder, is saying that the person who was killed for money (or whatever) is of less worth than the person who was killed as a result of “hate”.
Additionally, it is a safe bet that, in order to kill someone, you probably feel something other than love.
Aren’t ALL crimes “hate” crimes?
How about an alternative question? Perhaps one about the War on Drugs?
Using these facts, think of a question you can ask:
“More deaths are caused each year by TOBACCO use than by all deaths from human immunodeficiency virus (HIV), illegal drug use, alcohol use, motor vehicle injuries, suicides, and murders COMBINED.”http://www.cdc.gov/tobacco/data_statisti…
Here is a very well thought-out essay on the irrational views of supporters of the War on Drugs.
The author deals with the most common, and extremely flawed, arguments in favor of Drug Prohibition.http://home.sprynet.com/~owl1/drugs.htm
Milk is a “gateway” to bourbon?
FBI Director Robert Mueller admits, on television, that NO deaths have been attributed to Marijuana:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XfTQDuKpt…
Alcohol use kills approximately 80,000 Americans annually.http://www.cdc.gov/alcohol/quickstats/ge…
I think there’s a little importance in asking about laws that has been passed. Why? Because these laws are already implemented or imposed. But since crime rate is dramatically increasing, I suspect these laws are weakly executed. Why not ask this question instead?
**With the apparent rise of crime rates, how will you effectively impose the legislation that deal with these brutal acts against human liberty and what possible laws will you pass to augment the current peace and order policies?
