Visit to the Castle, climb Calton Hill, walk the Royal Mile and see Holyrood Palace, climb to the top of the Scott Monument, climb Arthurs Seat and walk over to Duddingston Loch. Have lunch in the pub at the end of the walk!!

i had the same problem last year when i visted i dound this website really useful http://www.edinburgh.org/ which is quite a formal website it lists everything there is to do there
or try this one http://www.stuckonscotland.co.uk/edinburgh/information.html which gives more of peoples opinions on whats good and whats not
I suppose the most famous thing to visit in Edinburgh would be the castle which overlooks the city.
